From July 27 to August 4, the fourth edition of COC’s Shakespeare Club will take place in the historic courtyard of the Amsterdam Museum.
This year’s theme is #QUEERSPACES. During the nine days of COC’s Shakespeare Club, the Amsterdam Museum is again the location where people and cultures come together and connect.
During Pride week, various GLBTIQ+ organizations and partners will present a diverse program around the theme #Queerspaces each day. There are museum tours, presentations, performances, network meetings, forums, panel discussions and workshops organized. Anyone, regardless of their background, is welcome to come and have a drink with friends, dance along or just simply “be” there.
COC’s Shakespeare Club aims to increase the visibility and acceptance of the GLBTI+ community in Amsterdam and its surrounding area. That’s why it brings the extremely diverse GLBTI+ community and their “allies” together in a safe environment to talk about what we can learn from each other and what connects us. Because of the very central location of the Amsterdam Museum in the city center, COC’s Shakespeare Club is open to a diverse audience of people from Amsterdam as well as (international) visitors.
