This year from September 24-27, Rotterdam will be hosting Rotterdam Pride. It is the smashing sequel to the successful first edition. In Rotterdam, 174 nationalities and all orientations live together, so the organization chose sexual and cultural diversity as this year’s theme.
Rotterdam Pride, its partners, and all collaborating organizations have put together parties, content events and a special pink bicycle tour of the city.
There is no Canal Parade in Rotterdam, but the city on the river Maas does have the one and only Keerweer Parade. It will be opened by Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb and the Star Sisters! The Pride visitor will not get bored during the evenings, for many open-minded parties will be organized during the weekend. There will be dance parties, bi parties, women only parties, and urban parties. Something for everyone!
Rotterdam Pride distinguishes itself from other Prides with various cultural and themed events. On September 26, the conference “Creating Cross-Overs” will be organized in Rotterdam.
In talks and debates, sexual diversity is often discussed as diametrically opposed to cultural and religious diversity, but is this approach constructive? And what if you are religious and homosexual? At this event, the crossroads of religious, cultural and sexual diversity are discussed.
Pride Square and Bike Tours
On Saturday, September 26, the Schouwburgplein will be transformed into Pride Square. Here, visitors will find specials stands and campaigns from open-minded organizations in Rotterdam.
